Fall of Envy-The Social Orlando
Fall of Envy was everything I thought they would be. You can go to Amazon here to read my album review of Poetic Rage. They put on a massively energetic live show worthy of the greatest rock bands. Seemingly quite and introverted, lead singer, Michael exploded into the opening song Smoking Gun with all the ferocity and fury of a well seasoned front man. This concert was every bit the head banging hard driving rock show one would expect given the musicianship evidenced in their album.
My favorite number was, Far From Here, and they performed it with the combination of viciousness and visceral beauty that makes this song their most outstanding. The band did one cover of a Dido song, which although very good, should have been left out of their set. Why add a cover when their original music is so good. If you want to know more about this band check out their Myspace page or this Fall of Envy interview in Thrash Magazine.
We all really loved Terra Terra Terra the opening band. A group of young guys from Lakeland Florida, they had some interesting music and played it very well. They made four new fans!!
