Styx Orlando Hard Rock Live

I can't believe that I questioned going to this show for even one second, let alone for many years.   I have always been in denial over the Tommy Shaw, Dennis DeYoung break up and even during the short reunion tour, I reconciled myself to the fact that Styx will never be the band that I grew up loving.   When Ali texted me that she got her ticket, there was just no way that I could not attend with her.  It was just too close by and I knew we would have a blast.

Needless to say the show was AWESOME.  Ali and I got there early and were 2nd in the GA line.  We didn't have center seats so we had to stand on the side, but we were on Tommy's side and only about 50 feet from the stage with a perfect unobstructed view.  I still can't believe I got some incredible photos and video of longtime idol Tommy Shaw.

Every song was awesome, they didn't play Crystal Ball, but Tommy acknowledge my iPhone neon sign saying "Crystal Ball" pointed and smiled.    They didn't play Suite Madame Blue or Paradise Theatre, but there were many great songs.   Especially Blue Collar Man and Come Sail Away.   I managed to video three tracks, Renegade, Fooling Yourself and Lady.

I got some amazing photos of the show which you can view on my FB album
